On the night I made this painting I was blasting the song ‘Sista' by Rachelle Ferrell on repeat. This painting is talking to me about my friendship with my three sisters. During the painting process, all the disagreements we had that at times led me to drift apart from them transformed into joy and playfulness. In the morning hours finishing the painting the wish to be not just siblings with my three sisters but also friends took new heights.
